Navastrau is the music of Chicago's essential, early dark-wave and psych-punk visionary
Rick Gallo alongside a rotating cast of Chicago's early punk pioneers (ft. members of
The C*nts, Painterband, Ministry, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Meaty Buys, and
more). The band stretches nervous diatribes over pulsating drum beats, punctuated by
buzzed out guitars and heavy analogue synthesizers. This handy cassette release offers
the band's earliest vinyl output with additional unreleased material.

the early 1970s with a recorded legacy that has remained largely unheard until now.
This previously unreleased album was puzzled together from the restored four-track

The lost and unreleased 1982 LP by Trial By Fire. When Chicago punk legends Strike
Under broke up in 1981, three of the four members went on to form Trial By Fire. This
was one of the city's first bands to play thrash style hc, which made Trial By Fire
scene favorites, especially among the younger allages set. Far from being a by-the
numbers hardcore group, Trial By Fire's sound bore a heavy Stranglers and post-punk
influence as well, which helped in the process of creating a unique repertoire which
sits alongside the best of like minde units s.a. Naked Raygun. In fact, when bassist
-vocalist Pierre Kezdy later joined Naked Raygun, he brought the classic tune 'Rocks
Of Sweden' along with him. This LP, here on RED AND YELLOW VINYL, includes a full
-colour insert with rare photos and detailed liner notes. Limited availability!

Springfield Illinois' Food & Money formed in the waning years of the 1970s. Not
content with the ubiquitous middle of the road FM radio rock of their peers, Food
& Money played absurd, funky, socially conscious, sarcastic new wave and were
pioneers of weird in the mostly conservative Midwest scene. This anthology collects
Food & Money's entire discography into one release. This album includes their sought
after first 7" 'Economic Bullies' (1980). It also includes their only other proper
release, the live cassette 'No Loafers' (1982) and six unreleased bonus tracks.

Early punk unit Banned From Chicago recorded eight tracks in Chicago before relocating
to NYC to become part of (and lost in) the Big Apple's punk scene in early 1978. These
songs, mastered from the original tapes, are now at last released officially for the
first time. The band's material is characterized by twin guitars, throbbing bass, heavy
drums and a unique take on punk's early sound.

B CHASE ME UP A RHUBARB TREE

A limited archival vinyl reissue of an ultra-rare late 1966 Chicago garage-punk-fuzz
screamer! Only 100 copies of this gem were pressed in 1966 and originals are almost
impossible to find today! FROM played local shows and teen dances on the north side
of Chicago in the mid-1960s. Their one shot in the studio resulted in two unique cuts
of 1960s garage rock. '8:00 To 5:69' is a straight-up ode to the band's late night
lifestyle. 'Chase Me Up A Rhubarb Tree' is a break up/put down song with a twist
(rhubarbs don't grow on trees!).
